Monza Stuns Napoli With 2-0 Victory in Serie A Clash
Goals from Djuric and Colpani Seal the Win

AC Monza pulled off a shock victory over Serie A title contenders Napoli on Saturday, beating the visitors 2-0 at the Stadio Brianteo. Goals from Gianluca Caprari and Andrea Petagna gave Monza their first win of the new season, while Napoli suffered their first defeat.
Monza made a strong start to the match and took the lead after just seven minutes when Caprari fired home a low shot from the edge of the area after being set up by Pablo Mari. Napoli struggled to create chances in the first half, with their best opportunity coming midway through the half when Piotr Zielinski hit the post from outside of the box.
Monza doubled their lead in the second half when Petagna tapped in a cross from Marco D'Alessandro in the 65th minute. Napoli pushed for an equaliser but could not find a way past Monza's defense. The hosts held on to secure a memorable victory which moves them up to 10th in the Serie A standings, while Napoli remain in second place despite the defeat.
Monza manager Raffaele Palladino was delighted with his team's performance and praised their fighting spirit.
"We knew it would be a difficult game against a strong Napoli team," said Palladino. "But we played with great determination and belief, and we deserved to win."
Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti was disappointed with his team's performance but remained confident that they can challenge for the title this season.
"We made too many mistakes today," said Spalletti. "But we will learn from this and come back stronger. We have a strong squad, and we are still in a good position to win the title."
